Salutes for our 'angels'

THERE has been a lot of criticism of the NHS Hospitals, so I thought I would sing the praises of St Helens Hospital.

For the past few months I have had to attend various departments of our hospital and each time I have received the utmost care, consideration and friendliness. Last week I was admitted to Garton Ward for a minor operation. From the moment I stepped into the ward I was at ease. The friendly greeting, care, understanding and even the good humour from all staff was superb, and the ward was so clean it shone.

Through your paper may I once again thank everyone. God bless them all and may the New Year be a good one for each and every body.

Marvis Forber, Sutton Leach.

I RECENTLY had an operation in St Helens Hospital and having heard of so much criticism of hospitals, I would like to say a big thank-you to everyone at the hospital for their pleasant efficiency and cleanliness and especially to the sister and staff of Kurtz Ward.

MR J. A. Nelson, Prescot Road, St Helens.
