Runcorn Apec Taxis Darts League

DESPITE section two leaders Halfway Gents beating RAOB Buffs 6/3, thanks to an 18 dart game from Peter Holmes, they go second.

New leaders Tranny Lads whitewashed Cherry Tree A Team 9/0, which included a maximum from James Keelan.

Red Admiral and Pavilions A exchanged places in third and fourth after the former won 7/2.

Fifth placed RNA lost 5/4 to Union Tavern. Halton Marauders beat Prospect Has Beens 6/3.

Section four leaders Navvy Lads lost 7/2 to Quayside, who go third, Fiddlers III beat Halfway Mixed 5/4. Clarendon lost 6/3 to fifth placed Dev Superstars.

In section one, Leaders Albion's 6/3 win against Roundhouse A included 19 dart games from Eamonn Hartigan and Neil Dunbebin and a 102 finish from Nick Hough, the losers Mark Smith hit a 19 dart game.

Second placed Navvy's 5/4 win against Wilsons included a 17 dart game from Mark Barlow. An 18 dart game, which included a 145 finish from Rob Law and a 19 darter from Phil Merryweather, helped Tricorn to an 8/1 win against Lion Doo Waps.

Halfway A secured their fourth successive win, beating Outcasts 6/3. Both teams are joint fourth.

At the bottom, Wanderers lost 7/2 to second bottom Likely Lads.

Dreadnaughts and Lion remain four points clear of section three after Dreadnaughts beat Royal Oak 5/4 and a 17 dart game from Stuart Baxter helped Lion to beat Weston Point SC 6/3.

John Loney finished on 100 to help The Burma into a 3/0 lead against Draymen but helped by a 102 finish from Alan Powell, Draymen took the six remaining games.

Castle go fourth after beating Waterloo 6/3. Grapes are sixth, a 19 dart game from Mike Grumbley helped his team to beat Pavilions 5/4. There was a shock in the Committee Section Challenge cup prelim round matches, involving section one teams with defeats for the two leading sides. Albion led 3/1 thanks to 15 dart games from Nigel Peterson, who also hit a maximum, and Phil Littler who finished on 115 in his doubles game.

However, Wilsons took the five remaining games, Steve Hughes also finishing in 15. Navvy were 4/2 up against Likely Lads only to lose the three remaining games.
