WIDS tore into Hoylake with Duggan and Jones at the forefront.

Hooker Simm and winger Pinder quickly established territorial dominance through their strong tackling and running.

Mercer was particularly impressive early on, scoring five tries. Fine ripping from scrum half Oliver allowed Critchley to cross for his score. Centre Lang quickly following with a hat trick.

The second half saw the Wids build on their lead with good scrum work from Graham resulting in a spectacular length of the field dash from Lee for his try, with Coulter powering over for two tries. Kenyon's superb tackling from the lineout, with Taylor and debutant Alex driving over, resulted in a try for Batterton.
