Bulls beaten

Farnworth 19 Widnes Albion 8

THE Albion looked sluggish in attack and defence in probably their worst display this season.

They were unlucky to have a Kevin Blythin touchdown disallowed.

From this point lethargy in defence crept in allowing the Farnworth forwards to make ground through poor tackling.

But Farnworth only managed one converted try against and an Adam Hughes penalty for a 6-2 home lead at the break.

After the break Farnworth opened up a 15-2 lead before the Albion finally got a Gary Richardson try and a Hughes conversion.

A late Farnworth try put an end to any hopes of victory.

The Albion are away to Pilkingtons this week, the A team are to play West Bank Swan at Leigh Rec, both games kick-off 2pm.
