Light of my life

THOUSANDS of twinkling Christmas tree lights helped raise more than £20,000 for Halton Haven Hospice.

Relatives and friends remembered their loved ones or celebrated the life of someone special by sponsoring the Light Up A Life appeal.

Brian Halliwell, hospice fundraising manager, said: "It is marvellous, we have raised in excess of £20,000."

Names of everyone who has a light switched on in their honour, are recorded in a book of remembrance.
