West Side Story - Pacific Road Arts Centre

Wirral Youth Theatre is staging an exciting new version of the world famous musical "West Side Story" to be premiered at Pacific Road Arts Centre in April, 2004.

Rehearsals are underway with a cast of more than 50 young people but we are now looking for singers and keyboard players to be part of a live band for the show.

Although they are interested in hearing from male and female singers, they are particularly looking for young men.

The music has been rearranged to include more current styles including pop, dance and R&B versions of the classic songs like America and Tonight.

You will need to be aged 13 -19 and available for rehearsals from January to April 04.

A spokesman for Wirral Youth Theatre said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for young singers and musicians to be part a large-scale production that aims to break new ground in its contemporary approach to a classic musical.

Wirral Youth Theatre is part of the Education & Cultural Services Division of Wirral Council.
