Help at hand for childcare business

PEOPLE working the child care profession can benefit from a series of workshops providing free business support training.

An introductory workshop takes place at Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club, Whitegate, on Saturday, January 24, and is open to registered childminders or staff at team-managed childcare centres.

The workshops will provide guidance on how to operate a childcare business over the long term. Information developed by childcare and business support professionals will be offered in a user-friendly way.

The workshops will be friendly and accessible with no classrooms or lengthy text books and is being run as part of the Government's Sure Start initiative.

Further workshops will take place in February at the same venue.
