A TEAM of 31 Warriors of Warrington swimmers did themselves proud in the north west section final of the Speedo League Premier Division.
They secured top three finishes in a third of the events in Salt Ayre, Lancashire. They also enjoyed four victories and came fifth overall behind Cockermouth, Satellite, Carnforth Otters and Leyland Barracudas.
Warriors' most impressive performers were James Miller, Amy Pegnam, Kate Eccles and David Holt.
James finished first in the boys' 13-year and under 50 metres backstroke, Amy won the girls' 15-year and under 100m breaststroke, Kate triumphed in the women's open 100m breaststroke and David blew away the opposition in the men's open 100m breaststroke.
Warriors' most successful team was their open age girls' side of Kate, Hannah Denny, Charlotte Atherton, Hannah Wilkinson and Rachel Hillam.
They enjoyed podium finishes in five of their seven events while Warriors' 15-year and under girls' and boys' teams also shone, recording four top three finishes.
The two 15-year and under teams were made up of Amy, Sarah Taylor, Kristina McGuirk, Sarah Vandewalle, Davy Griffiths, Marc Pomfret, Jonathan Gatley and 13-year-old James.
The other Warriors swimmers to enjoy top three successes were Anthony Walker, who came third in the 13-year and under boys' 50m butterfly, plus Nicole Lynam, who was second in the 11-year and under girls' 50m backstroke.
Nicole also helped Warriors secure bronze medal glory in one of the girls' 11-year and under freestyle relays. Her teammates in the event were Alison Lydon, Jenna Kane and Michaela Bishop.
