Pro-fox hunters mark MP's cards

PRO-FOX hunting campaigners have singled 53 MPs for special attention - including Weaver Vale's Mike Hall.

The Countryside Alliance has published a set of playing cards depicting the top MPs who are in favour of a complete ban on hunting wild animals with trained dogs.

Mr Hall said he is honoured to be amongst these MPs.

He said: "I am determined to see a ban on hunting with dogs become a reality and I am pushing for the Hunting Bill to be reintroduced to parliament at the earliest possible opportunity.

"My constituents have repeatedly told me that they want to see an end to the horrific cruelty of hunting with dogs.

"On Boxing Day we saw hunts, both near my constituency and around the country, continue to flout public opinion by indulging in a cruel spectacle which reaches its bloody climax with the needless death of wildlife.

Cruelty

"I will continue to push for the current Hunting Bill to be reintroduced - and for a ban on hunting to become law - so that this cruelty is stopped. An end to hunting would be an excellent reason for me and my constituents to celebrate this year."
