Into their second decade, the band will showcase new material from their fifth album Amazing Grace that was released in September.

Now, as Spiritualized reach the home stretch of a two-month American tour, they have scheduled an expansive 20-date UK tour throughout January and February.

Containing a collection of stripped down tracks, mastermind J Spaceman said: "These songs are more emotionally naked, just as they are musically naked. There is no sound other than what we play."

Their defining moment came in 1997 following the release of the majestic Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Outer Space LP. Rave reviews came thick and fast with critics even drawing parallels to the defining album of the Sixties, Sergeant Pepper.

Spiritualized play gigs at Liverpool Carling Academy and the Manchester Ritz on January 24 and 25 respectively.
