I couldn't agree more!

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with Barbara Marshall's letter regarding refuse collection (Star December 4).

Householders are now working for free for a private concern, who claim to give a measly £1 to charity for every ton of waste paper collected.

Nothing is said about what revenue is made on the bottles and jars etc.

The waste disposal firms have it made, with the free labour provided by the householder, who will not benefit from this method.

Our Council Tax should be reduced and maybe then people will be more environmentally friendly.

Better still, don't do it and keep waste disposal workers in their jobs.

Mrs J Nugent.
