Latchford u7s 16
Halton Hornets u7s 24
HORNETS came out on top follwoing a great defensive display against a Latchford team who were allowed to play some over age players due to their lack of experience.
In a very hard game all of the squad should be commended for their overall work.
Tries came from Ryan Risley (2) who also took Mom and one a piece from Gareth O'Brien, Ken Gilhooley, Antony Knight and Joe Turner who also took top tackler award.
Coach's award went to Jonathon Mullarkey who had made some telling tackles.
Golborne u7s 8
Halton Hornets u7s 32
HORNETS turned in a great display of attacking rugby which brought them eight tries from Gareth O'Brien (5), Danny O'Brien (2) and Ken Gilhooley, who also took Mom.
Top tackler award went to Liam Hulme, who in one short spell made seven tackles.
Ryan Soens deservedly took coach's award for a great all round display.
The game was marred a little and ended at the end of the third quarter when it was thought that a Golborne player may have sustained a broken arm, thankfully this only turned out to be bad jarring.
