Nor everyone agrees with No Ball Games signs

IN reply to the letter published in your paper on April 28 from Mr B Dearden and the comment he made about "the village youngsters who are a good bunch with the exception of a few who want to spoil things."

I feel that the village residents are generally a good bunch with the exception of one or two who want to spoil things, especially for the children.

I recently sent a petition to Vale Royal containing 327 signatures asking for the "No Ball Games" sign to be removed.

I wonder, was a petition sent prior to this, for the sign to be put up, or is it that in this country the majority could be wrong?

We have good reason for asking to have the sign removed, the safety of our children being first in our minds, all 327 of us.
