Mind boggles at silly Euro-crats

AFTER reading your article on another European ruling about putting herbal remedies on prescription - the mind boggles as to what else these faceless, nameless, irresponsible people in Brussels who are slowly bleeding this country to death, can do.

A few years ago, an EU directive prevented vets from prescribing drugs for animals which gave similar effects as more costly drugs. The result, a massive increase in treatment charges from Veterinary surgeons. Furthermore, the Environmental Agency has through EU directives appointed hundreds of vets (who may come from any country in the world and not qualified to the standard expected in this country) to see that these same EU directives are complied with in the meat industry.

With the European Parliament elections looming it would be irresponsible of the electorate to vote for prospective candidates who tell us what a good deal being fully integrated in the EMU would be.

I suggest we look for a Euro-sceptic candidate who will say "enough is enough" and try and put a break on the manner in which the European Commission is overturning English Law.
