DRAWN FOR THE USA

A TEAM of cartoonists from Northwich had the ear - and the eye - of a rock legend this week.

Graham Pickering, Damian O'Brien and Michael Carlon went to see Bruce Springsteen on stage in Manchester on Saturday.

They took a cartoon version of their hero's life - and ended up meeting the man himself.

Graham said: "We saw him coming out of his hotel, and we handed over our picture. He said he would take it home to New Jersey."

'The Boss', as Bruce is known, kept them talking for 20 minutes, before rocking the crowds. "He is a genuine bloke, and he had time for all his fans," added Michael.
