SPLASHING OUT ON SETS

CONGLETON town councillors have agreed to give £800 to Congleton Amateur Youth Theatre to buy materials for sets.

They also voted to give £650 to the Stephenson Day Centre towards summer outings, and £500 to St Margaret Ward Pre-School towards play equipment.

Youth in Action is also due to receive £500 towards the costs of organising a conference on volunteering, and a £100 grant was agreed for Congleton teenager Caroline Bedson, who is hoping to work with special needs children in Hong Kong.
