GOING GREEN IS ON THE AGENDA

PEOPLE involved in Local Agenda 21 met last week to update each other on the scheme's progress.

More than 100 people attended the event at Winnington Hall, including representatives of Vale Royal Borough Council, Groundwork Macclesfield and Vale Royal, Vale Royal Environment Network and the Cheshire Landscape Trust.

Several representatives gave presentations on the work they had been doing, which ranged from using energy efficient light bulbs to planting trees.

An organic buffet was served at the end of the afternoon and information about current Agenda 21 projects was on display.
