BULLS' DOUBLE DREAM

Bank Quay Bulls 20

Folly Lane 12

BANK Quay Bulls are chasing a staggering amateur Rugby League championship and cup double in their first season.

The Bulls were crowned champions of Division Six A on Saturday after their title-deciding battle with Folly Lane at Longshaw Street. They have proved to be such a force that league officials are now considering promoting them by more than one division.

On May 12 they will face Weaverham in the final of the Carlsberg Tetley Warrington Knockout Cup at Wilderspool, kick-off 7.30pm in a further search for silverware.

With ex-professionals and ex-Academy level players in the team there is tremendous potential for growth and plans are taking shape to add a second team to the club next season.

Against Swinton side Folly Lane, tries were scored by Phil Hampson, Lee Smith and John Ruane with Lee Williams kicking four goals.
