Tries came from Chris Meacock, Robert Campbell, Daniel Phillips, man of the match Jonathon Digby, top tackler Phillip Nicholas, Jamie Howard, special award winner Alex Curtis, Jason Brookes, Joe Clarke and Mike Lagar.

RYLANDS defended well until the last quarter when Orrell's strength showed.
Top tackler was Matt Lomax, man of the match was Dan Oakes and the special award went to Tom Major.

A TREMENDOUS game of rugby between two evenly matched teams saw Rangers steal victory off the last play.
The Sharks fought well against a physical Miners defence with excellent tries by Duffy, three, Roberts and Woodward.
Goals were kicked by man of the match Dean, top tackler Duffy, Roberts and Woodward. Sinclair-Smith took the special award.

SOAP had to field a weakened team and soon went behind 6-0.
G. Mercer scored two quick length of the field tries to put them back in it and went on to dominate in the second half.
Tries came courtesy of coaches' award winner G. Mercer, three, man of the match T. Caswell, top tackler T. Hanson, two, C. Patterson, C. Bainczyk and J. Smith. Goals were kicked by C. Mercer, nine and T. Hanson.

SOAP went behind 6-0 but hit back with a penalty try before G. Mercer sprinted 70 yards to put them in front at half-time.
Bad tackling allowed the Widnes side to score match-winning tries in the second half. G. Mercer completed his hat-trick with other tries from T. Hanson and coaches' award winner T. Caswell. Man of the match Mercer also kicked five goals. Top tackler was J. Woods.

WOOSTON went 10-0 down before dominating the game and finishing worthy winners.
Tries were scored by T. McCarthy and J. Sherratt while the conversions were kicked by J. Sherratt and P. Airey. Man of the match was A. Stringer, top tackler was S. McEvoy with best support went to P. Airey.

WOOLSTON sealed this tight encounter with some well taken tries, showing great determination to win.
The team defended well and displayed good skills in attack. Tries were scored by B. Ogden, P. Reynolds, P. Airey, A. Guest and A. Warburton. Conversions were scored by A. Guest and J. Sherratt. Man of the match was M. Dolley while top tackler was shared by A. Warburton and P. Airey.

WOOLSTON showed good team spirit to win with a vastly improved performance.
Tries came from Prescott, Maddock and Dobson with conversions by Cornelia and Braide plus a drop goal by Bagley.

SOAP combined well to take an 18 point lead in the first 10 minutes. Salford clawed back a converted try only to spur Soap on again. Good defence from both sides kept the scoring down until the second half.
The try scorers for Soap were M. Johnson, two, D. Inman, two and R. Jarvis. J. Andrews kicked four goals. Men of the match were S. Pickersgill and M. Johnson.

THE Griffins squandered two good chances to score in the first half.
Both defences played well to keep the score down to 6-8 at half-time. It was late in the second half when Griffins began to tire tand Woolston took advantage.
Povey and Garvey scored Grappenhall's tries. Hutchinson kicked two penalties and a conversion. Man of the match was Cunliffe.

Oldham u11s 10
WARRINGTON Schools under 11s beat Oldham at their third attempt of
the season to progress to the semi-finals of the NW Counties Schools' Cup.
Tyrone McCarthy led his team well with excellent tackling and a vital try, which Chris Forster converted Oldham hit back with a try in each half plus a conversion before substitute Anthony Kelly produced a game-breaking tackle which led to the turnover and Simon McEvoy found the room to score. Craig White kicked the deciding conversion.
Warrington's opponents in the semi-finals will be the winners of the tie between Leigh and Wigan.

WARRINGTON Schools under 13s side won the English Schools' Plate competition despite playing at Hull's Rugby Union ground.
Both teams were uncompromising in defence and only a Mathew Briers try separated the two sides at half-time. Danny Inman drove over for a try in the second half and Dane Whalley skilfully converted.
Single mindedness, discipline and support throughout the year produced this fine result.

WARRINGTON Schools under 16s turned effort into points against a strong Bradford team.
The coherence in attack produced tries from Peter White, two, Andy Williams, two, Chris Mellor and Mike Callan. Chris Mellor kicked five difficult goals.
