MATT COULD BE BACK

NANTWICH defender Matt Borthwick could make a quick return to help his side avoid relegation after an horrific accident during the 4-2 defeat at Rossendale last weekend.

The centre back swallowed his tongue in a clash of heads with John Rogers, but is on the road to recovery and could play in Saturday's home tussle with Holker.

The loss of Borthwick, along with Lee Murphy's pre-match withdrawal to go to work and other injuries, left Town with an unrecogniseable defence which struggled to keep Rossendale at bay.

Goals from Mark Agius and Andy Gale weren't enough to snatch anything from the game and Dabbers were left rueing two clear-cut missed chances from Gale.
