DARIO Gradi is weighing up his options ahead of two crucial battles in just four days.
Crewe Alex face an uphill struggle at high-flying Ipswich on Saturday then return to Gresty Road for a momentous tie against fellow strugglers Bristol City.
With only four games left the Alex look in desperate trouble at the foot of Division 1 and need points urgently to stand a chance of hauling themselves to safety.
But Gradi remains confident that his side can stay afloat.
"I wouldn't be surprised if we won all four games," he said.
"It's difficult getting all the players to click at the same time, but if we can get them playing consistently and to their best ability then we are in with a shout.
"We haven't got to worry about playing away from home after recent results and it suits our style of football."
Crewe performed leagues below their ability in a miserable defeat by Watford on Saturday, but at such a critical stage of the season Gradi said he was cautious about making changes to his starting 11.
"The team I'm playing now got good results at Bolton and West Brom, so any changes would need a very good reason," he said.
"You could say that Marcus Bignot deserves a place but David Wright is defending really well, and my best bets for a goal at the moment are probably Colin Little and Mark Rivers, but Rodney Jack is still my best striker.
"I will have a look at Ipswich's match against Stockport and if we have to make some special arrangements then I will, but if we get something from Saturday's game then Bristol might be the time to do something different."
