ORGANISERS of Winsford's Town Festival have been staggered at the positive feedback from residents following the event earlier this month.
The committee has already received telephone calls and correspondence from people wishing to be involved in future festivals.
Winsford Mayor Pam Booher said she felt proud to have been part of the event.
"The first Winsford Town Festival has been a massive success and the feedback from local people has been amazing," she announced.
"I feel so proud to be involved with the event, which not only raises money for the town mayor's charity, Winsford Youth Forum, but brings the whole community together.
"It was a wonderful family day out and something Winsford can call its own.
"I wish to thank everybody who came along and supported us over the weekend."
Plans are already in motion for next year's town festival.
A spokeswoman for Winsford Town Council said: "Everybody was thrilled with the festival and I think the town would like to see it again next year.
"On Monday we put forward an application to Vale Royal Borough Council. So we are hoping to get permission to hold another festival. It will probably be a good few weeks before a decision is made."
