APPEAL ACCOUNT SET UP

FRIENDS of a Congleton family hoping to enjoy a special holiday have opened a bank account to help raise money for the break.

David Wood, aged 45, from Lawton Street, has Motor Neurone Disease, a terminal condition which has left him needing 24-hour care from his wife Ivy.

Family friends Joyce Chilver and Judith Thwaite hope to send the family on a two-week break to a holiday camp this summer.

Anyone who would like to support the appeal can pay donations into the Wood Family Holiday Fund at Barclays Bank in Congleton.

The appeal organisers are also hoping for support from fund-raising events, and can be contacted on 274269 or 270642.
