Pub in running

THE Egerton Arms in Little Budworth has been nominated for a national awards scheme designed to reward pubs who contribute to the local community.

Landlady Joanne Dobson has been running the pub, on Pinfold Lane, for 28 years - and has raised £1,900 for two charities over the last 12 months.

"We organise fund raisers throughout the year, including a charity football match, a domino knockout, a weekly trivia quiz and Lottery bonus ball draw - as well as pub raffles," said Joanne.

The national winner will net £10,000.
