Bosses prove they are people people

THREE organisations from Mid Cheshire have been rewarded for their commitment to the Investors in People scheme.

Training and development firm Plan-It has achieved Investors in People status through North and Mid Cheshire TEC after rigorous examination of its staff training policies.

"The Investors in People recognition is very important to us," said director Lorraine Hatton. "Our whole business ethos is about investing in people and their training to enable them to achieve their full potential."

The eight employee business is one of the smallest in the region to get the award.

"We were happy to have our policies put under scrutiny because we believe our staff and clients deserve nothing but the highest standards of training and service," said co director Margaret Ashby.

Meanwhile the Northwich branch of ICI Chemicals and Polymers and Harrington's Caravans, from Delamere, both received plaques and certificates for their work at a recent meeting of their Investors in People club.

They were among 17 organisations from the 50 companies present to be recognised.

Diane Hill from North and Mid Cheshire TEC said: "The evening was a great success and shows the level of commitment to workforce development from employers in the area."
