A UNIQUE training opportunity to help some of Middlewich's unemployed find work and others to seek out better jobs is being introduced by Dane Housing, the company which owns the town's former council homes.
It is offering tenants of its 4,000 homes in the borough of Congleton who are jobless or claiming benefit, the chance to undergo computer training - and it's free!
Jayne Phillips, of Dane Housing, said: " We're offering the training as part of our service to tenants, and we hope they will take advantage of the opportunity.
"It is the latest of a number of initiatives we have introduced to benefit our tenants."
The IT training, which will be carried out in partnership with the labour studies department at Preston College, covers word processing, databases, spreadsheets and desktop publishing.
Courses will be held at centres in Crewe or Macclesfield. Classes will last for three hours at a time and be available morning, afternoon or evening.
Those interested can obtain more information by ringing Sue Brown or Jayne Phillips at Dane Housing on 01260 281037.
