Bishop meets women clergy

WOMEN clergy from all over Warrington met with the Bishop of Liverpool at a specially organised meeting.

The Right Reverend James Jones was invited to meet female clergy from all over the Diocese of Liverpool by the Rev Lesley Bentley, Dean of the women's ministry in the Diocese and one of the most senior women in ministry.

She said: "In some situations people prefer to see a female priest. At this meeting we shared some of our insight about our ministry with the Bishop and asked him his views on the future working of women and men in church."
