MAGISTRATES have been swamped with objections to Knutsford's planned nightclub in the Old Town Hall.

The liquor licence hearing for post office boss Derek Panagakis has been extended to two days after more than 50 formal objections to his proposals.

But last week a licensing spokesman said most of the objectors would probably not turn up and elect a spokesman instead.

The hearing at Macclesfield Magistrates Court is planned for 21 and 22 January.
