Postman died after head-on smash

A POSTMAN died when he lost control of the motorbike he had bought just a week earlier and smashed into a car.

Aidan Green, aged 22, of Landseer Avenue, died of massive head injuries after his bike hit a Volvo head-on in Warburton near Lymm, an inquest heard.

The driver of the Volvo, Wendy Burt of Partington, told the inquest she was approaching a severe bend when she saw a motorbike head straight towards her.

Other witnesses estimated the bike had been travelling at 60 to 70 mph.

Recording a verdict of accidental death, coroner John Pollard said: "It is another sad instance where a young man riding a motorcycle made a momentary miscalculation and it has led to a fatal accident."
