GRAMMAR GIRLS REUNION

FORMER grammar school girls are being invited to join in a 40th birthday bash in the year 2000.

The party is being organised by a married woman from Knutsford who attended Congleton County Grammar School for Girls.

Fiona Williams (maiden name) left the school, now Westlands High, in the summer of 1978, and has been trying to contact her sixth form classmates.

She has succeeded in tracing 22 of the 29-strong year group, but has reached a dead end, and turned to the Congleton GUARDIAN for help.

''The ones I have managed to contact live as far apart as London and America, and I believe the others may live in the Congleton area or have family there,'' she said.

''I am hoping to trace everyone to stage a reunion in the year 2000, when we will all be 40.''

Any former sixth form classmates of Fiona Williams can ring 01565-755917.
