SHAVINGTON LEISURE CENTRE 7-A-SIDE
Barony Rangers continue to set the pace at the top with a solid performance against a struggling Barstock Chuckers. Tomkinson made sure of the win grabbing a brace in a 3-0 victory.
Crewe Rolls-Royce were held to a goalless draw by lowly PSV 7, but the surprise result of the week came in the game between third place Solartan and struggling Stadium Sports. Kelly was the hero as the strugglers came out with a 1-0 win. Leighton failed to take advantage of Solartan's slip as they could only manage a goalless draw against Economy Carpets. Ruskin Rovers came out easy winners against basement boys CA Milan 3-1 the scoreline and ITS won the mid-table battle against SJB Steel 1-0, Hancock the scorer.
Division One:
Yew Tree extended their lead at the top of the First Division with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Shavington Rangers.
Manor slipped up going down 2-0 to mid-table Real Ale Madrid. Pick That One Out stepped up the pressure, Cope grabbed the only goal against Pleiades.
Leisure Club were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by lowly One Stop. Rescue took the spoils in a close encounter with Nags Head, M Davies with the only goal.
Bottom place Audlem Rebels sampled defeat yet again, this time 3-0 against Athletico Stacey.
Division Two:
Top faced bottom in the Second Division and the game went to form as Liverbirds brushed aside the resistance of St Marys 3-0. Omega kept up the pressure with a hard fought victory over G Price Roofing, 2-1 was the final score. JBH Upholstry and Willventus both picked up 4-1 wins against KCS Villa and Dabbers Utd respectively. Brazil took the spoils with a comfortable 2-0 win over Pintos, Williams was the hero with a brace and Mill Ham continued their climb up the table with a 1-0 win over Crewe Mafia.
Division Three: High Flyers in Division Three, Blue Bell had to come from behind to secure a point against Radway Rovers 1-1. Wistaston Green went one better and closed the gap on Blue Bell coming from one down, they fought back to win the game 2-1. Deadly Seven were beaten 1-0 by lowly Plough and now are probably out of the title race thanks to an Ashwell goal. Boxmore and Bentley Boys played out a very entertaining game, with Bentley Boys eventually coming out 4-2 winners. Wrenbury Posse lost out 2-1 in a close encounter with Ye Old Vaults meanwhile Marvin Promotions and Mitras played out a 0-0 draw.
Division Four: Thursfield FC continue to lead the way in Division Four with an excellent 6-2 victory over Wistaston. AFC Hysteria kept up the pressure with a convincing 4-1 victory over Doctors Deviants, Air Products had to fight hard for their 1-0 win over Spice Boys and Golden Wanderers brushed aside Beswick with a good 3-1 victory. TTFKAS overcame the challenge of Harchester, Dodd grabbed the winner, meanwhile Jepsons took the spoils with a 3-0 win over Sky Blue Army.
Five-a-side
Division One: Leighton Wanderers continue to set the pace in Division One with an 8-0 thrashing of Matts Lads. British Lion keep up the pressure though with an 8-2 bashing of Cliff Evans. Shavington Rangers slipped up with a surprise defeat by 5X 2-1. Krew Killers stay rock bottom with no points after they were taught a harsh lesson by Zulu getting beat by 8-0. Linx FC came out of a close encounter with Italine Job with a 4-3 victory and PTOO overcame KCS Villa 2-1.
Division Two: New Burton took the championship in the Second Division in an exciting climax to the season, a 1-0 victory over Variations was enough to take it despite Wistaston's 12-2 demolition of Inter Walthall who finished the season with no points in the other games.
