VOLUNTEERS are invited to help improve the countryside around Lymm Dam.
The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers are teaming up with the dam's rangers for three days of work on hedgerows and fencing.
Ranger Phil Cooper said: "The idea is for people who regularly enjoy the facilities here to put something back into the site.
"The work is split into mornings and afternoons and we hope people will drop by, enjoy the day and stay as long as they want to help improve the dam's woodland even more," he said.
Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate clothing for a day's practical work and to take a packed lunch.
The event is taking place between 10am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm until 4pm today, Friday, next Wednesday and next Friday.
Meet at the Crouchley Lane rangers' cabin at 10am or at the woodland near Lakeside Drive at other times.
