MORE than 100 musicians hit a high note at Middlewich Civic Hall when they raised £300 for the National Blind Children's Society.
The concert was held last Friday when pianists, keyboard players, guitarists, clarinetists, trumpeters and many other musicians joined together for the fundraising event.
An audience of hundreds enjoyed all types of music including pop and classical.
Middlewich music teacher Maureen Leverington, one of the organisers of the concert, said: "Children from as young as five-years-old and three adults took part.
"Tickets were £5 for a family of four and we managed to raise a total of £300.
"It was a great success and everybody enjoyed the night.
"They performed a whole range of music. One popular song was My Heart Will Go On from the film Titanic.
"It was a chance for some children and adults to play in front of an audience for the first time.
"The Civic Hall was absolutely full," she added.
