CAN you do anything to get Marbury Lane/Old Warrington Road re-opened?

It has been closed since the accident in November when three young lads drove through the railings into the canal and all died.

Although this was a tragedy it seems unfair that all other regular users of this road should suffer its closure.

This road was a link for people of Anderton, Barnton and Comberbach with Northwich, providing access to the council tip, Sainsbury's, Handy Jacks etc.

In reverse, it was an access for Northwich people to visit Marbury Park.

All this traffic now has to use Winnington Hill and the traffic queues stretch right back into Winnington, worse now than when Town Bridge was closed.

Traffic going to the tip, towing trailers, will inevitably lose some of their rubbish in the town.

It will affect town traders because some people will now shop elsewhere (ie at Stockton Heath).
