CONGLETON thrashed Crosses A 8-1 away to go third in mixed division one of the Crewe badminton league.
The easy win sees Congleton 10 points adrift of leaders Welsh Row, although they have two games in hand over the table-toppers.
Stella Booth and Gary Mullins had the easiest victories for Congleton, winning their three games 21-16, 23-21 and 21-10.
Barbara Forster and Barry Jones won their trio 21-18, 23-21 and 21-17, while Sarah Lawton and Mike Murphy won two of their three, 21-16 and 21-13, losing the third 21-8.
Congleton lead veterans one by four points, and are two points behind ladies one leaders Central Meths.
