THE SEARCH is on to find Britain's supermums - and that includes dads and grandparents who have taken over the role of mothers.
Supermarket giant Safeway is looking for the mums in a million.
Do you know a mother whose strength, initiative, patience, help and encouragement deserves recognition or wider appreciation?
Perhaps you know a mum who helps and encourages a child with learning difficulties, a mother who copes with disability, a mother who successfully manages to juggle a career and a family, a mother who has supported her family through a major crisis or a super foster mother.
The Safeway Supermums will be from all walks of life.
Six will be chosen from the nominations to be guests of honour at an all-expenses paid televised celebrity lunch at London's Savoy Hotel.
The event will be held in March and raise much-needed funds for Baby Lifeline, a national charity providing care for unborn babies, newborn babies and their mothers.
Colin Smith, chief executive of Safeway, said:"Safeway does everything it can to make it easier for mums, and that is why we are launching the search for six Supermums.
"We want to help you to say a big thank you to those mums you think are extra special."
To make a nomination, write in your own words why your candidate is a Supermum, giving name, address and daytime telephone numbers for you as well as your nominee.
Send your nominations to Safeway Supermums Awards Office, 13 Craven Street, London WC2N 5PB. Closing date is Friday, January 22.
