WIDNES police are dealing with a third robbery in the space of two days after an off-licence on Liverpool Road was raided on Thursday night.
Two men entered Hutton's just before 8pm and jumped over the counter.
They entered the back room and demanded money from two female shop assistants there.
One of the pair grabbed one of the women by the face to scare her into handing over the cash.
They then escaped with money from an open cash box as well as stealing a purse containing credit cards and more cash.
The first offender is described as white and about six feet tall. He is of slim build. On the night, he was decked out in a navy blue coat, hat and woollen gloves. He masked his face with a blue scarf.
His cohort is also white and approximately six feet tall. He is described as "stocky approaching fat". He had dark designer stubble on his face. This man was wearing a cream cotton jacket and a light-coloured baseball cap.
Anyone who can assist in solving this crime is asked to contact Det Con Davison or Det Con Keith Logan at Widnes police station on 0151-424 7431. Or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
