Deadline for school places

PARENTS are reminded that arrangements for school places need to be made if their child's fifth birthday falls between September 1 1999 and August 31 2000.

Schools have compiled their details in an Admissions Booklet which, along with preference forms, need to be collected from primary schools by January 22.

The deadline to complete forms is March 5 and they should be returned to the preferred school.

Written notification of the school place allocated will then be sent before April 17.

If any school on your preference form is church aided - Church of England or Roman Catholic - the school will also request you fill in its own application form and return it by the date it states.
