RONALD BARKER

RONALD Gordon Barker, husband of Phyllis Barker, died on August 15, aged 90.

Mr Barker, from Ryfields Village, formerly of Fearnhead, lived in the Warrington area all his life.

During the Second World War he was a Bevan Boy in the coal mines.

Later he worked as a bus driver, a taxi driver and a self-employed painter and decorator.

In his younger days Mr Barker enjoyed caravan holidays and fishing when he was married to his first wife Joan Barker, who predeceased him.

In later years he particularly enjoyed cruises, and had many holidays both at home and abroad when he was at Ryfields.

He leaves his wife, two daughters, a son, three stepdaughters, a stepson, six grandchildren and five great grand children.

A service was held on August 26 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation.

The Rev Ray Whitticombe officiated.

Arrangements were made by Knox Funeral Services.
