ERNEST WILLIAM CONROY Peacefully on 2 August 2012 aged 86, at Wigan Infirmary after a short illness. Born and raised in Liverpool. Ernie moved with his wife Joyce and children to Culcheth. The family later moved to Lowton and then Pennington, Leigh where Ernie and his wife Joyce enjoyed a long and happy retirement together following his work as a Chartered Electrical Design Engineer for the UK Atomic Engery Authority. Ernie was a very much loved and respected head of the family and will be sadly missed by his wife Joyce, children Carol, Malcolm, Doreen, Gillian and Derek, sons and daughters in law, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His funeral and service will take place on Tuesday 21st August at 11.30am at Howe Bridge Crematorium. Family flowers only donations if desired to Dr Naqvi's Heartbeat Appeal c/o family.
