GET into the Christmas spirit at a concert in Culcheth on Saturday.

Gemini Musical Theatre Company host the show at 7.30pm at Culcheth High School.

Chairman Danny Shaw said "We always look forward to performing the gala concert with the exciting mix of choral and orchestral music generating a fantastic atmosphere on the night.

"The concert is always well received by our audiences, who enjoy listening to the choir and soloists as well as singing some well-loved Christmas Carols themselves. There is also the opportunity to listen to the wonderfully talented Manchester Opera Orchestra, who perform with us at the concert."

Musical director Steve Rayner is responsible for pulling the programme together and for ensuring a high quality end product.

“This year, we have an excellent balance of traditional festive music, some old favourites and a number of new pieces such as ‘Cantique De Jean Racine’ by Gabriel Faure and ‘What Sweeter Music’ by John Rutter. The concert provides a unique blend of music, both choral and orchestral that provides something for everyone.”

Tickets are £12.50 from 601773 or visit geminmusicaltheatre.com.
