PADGATE popstar Kerry Katona has confirmed she has left Atomic Kitten.

The former Queen of the Jungle posted the news on Instagram after rumours of a falling out with her two bandmates.

She said: "Gutted that I am no longer apart of Atomic Kitten!! Wish the girls all the love and happiness in the world!!" alongside a number of crying emojis.

Warrington Guardian:

Below that she wrote: "Was very proud to be the founder member of AK! Had some amazing times with the kittens! And gutted not to be apart of that no more! I guess I’ll keep to knock knock jokes from now on!"

It is the second time the 37-year-old has left the band after the group reformed in 2012 for ITV show The Big Reunion.

National reports suggest the 'knock knock' quip is in reference to reports she drunkenly called bandmate Natasha Hamilton a "toxic ****" while out at a personal appearance in Manchester.

The singer, who was part of the band's original line-up but got replaced by Jenny Frost in 2001, was filmed during the boozy outing.

National reports also suggest Kerry could now be lined up for a cameo in Real Housewives of Cheshire.
