A DOCTOR from the town has thrown her backing behind a ‘fantastic’ men’s health campaign for Warrington.
The ‘Hey Mr!’ initiative, which focuses on prostrate, lung and bowel cancer, was developed as men are less likely to get help early on leading to poorer survival rates.
Dr Sue Burke, Warrington CCG cancer lead, said: “Men are notoriously difficult to reach with health messages as they have little routine need of health care services.
“The 'know your body' message is key to recognising change and presenting early.”
The public health team will be at Warrington Mela, Queens Gardens on Sunday from 12 to 5.30pm and on September 7 from 12 to 4pm at Woolston Show, Woolston Park.
