Four given awards by Warrington Disability Partnership

THE founder of Warrington Disability Partnerships has handed out this year’s Positive Action Awards to four recipients.

Dave Thompson was joined by Your Housing Group’s Robert Porter, former Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold and Warrington Wolves star Ryan Atkins at the event, which was held at Walton Hall Gardens.

The awards encourage disabled people who deserve recognition for their work This year’s award winners were The A.L.E.X. Project Macclesfield, Lawrence Smith, Knowsley Parents and Adult Carers (KPAC) and Penny O’Hare.

Dave said: "Disabled people make a valuable economic contribution to our region and it is vital that we recognise this and that we create an environment that allows them to fulfil their potential.

“The Positive Action Awards recognise the outstanding efforts shown by individuals and organisations in removing barriers to participation.”
