RSPCA staff will be taking to the skies to help raise money for the animal charity helping dogs like Simon.

But they won’t be there for long as they take part in a parachute jump on Saturday to help raise money for the Warrington branch.

Danielle Dewhurst, John Lea, Sophie Major and Kate McAuley will be taking part in the jump in Lancaster.

They are all employed by the branch and want to raise funds to help improve the centre.

Simon the dog was beaten, burned, scalded and was absolutely terrified when he came in to the centre’s care but there were able to rehabilitate and successfully rehome him.

Some of the funds will go towards staff development while the rest will go towards the general running of the centre including toys, beds, and walking and agility equipment for the animals.

Sarah Ellis, branch manager, said: “Our branch only takes in animals from national RSPCA inspectors who have suffered cruelty or neglect, so these animals usually require much more specialist care and rehabilitation.”
