A WARRINGTON comedian has more reason than most to mourn Brazil’s exit from the World Cup.
Charlie Hale, from Cinammon Brow, has been a fan of the side since the 1970s and counts meeting Pele among his career highlights.
But he was desolate on Tuesday after his beloved side lost 7-1 to Germany in this year’s semi-final.
He said: “It was a total disgrace.
“I entered a Warrington Guardian competition in 1978 to win a TV by predicting the finalists and it should have been Brazil v Holland which I went for.
“And I thought it would be the same this year.
"But the manager picked totally the wrong team last night and I am totally devastated.”
