HEALTH bosses have launched a new pilot cancer rehabilitation project and is inviting all users of cancer services to register and take part.

‘We’re Positive’ is a free programme devised by Warrington CCG supporting patients in their journey through ‘pre-treatment’, ‘through treatment’ and ‘supportive care’.

Patients will have access to a range of organisations including benefits advice and Macmillan services as well as taking part in activities that can improve their overall fitness and sense of wellbeing.

Dr Sue Burke, GP cancer lead, said: “Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be very frightening and we would like to offer our patients as much support as possible.
