ORGANISERS of this year’s English Half Marathon in Warrington say the races are on course for a sell out.

The EHM Festival of Run which will include the English Half Marathon, EHM 10k Road Race Challenge and LiveWire Warrington Mile starts and finishes at Victoria Park before heading around the surrounding countryside and villages of south Warrington.

Event director Rob Griffiths said: “Our delight at the reaction from the 2013 event has definitely been overshadowed by the response of runners with race entries for 2014.

“So far we have close to 2,000 entrants spread across the half marathon and 10k. The plan was to close entries on August 31 – but the reality is that we may have to close them earlier, once we hit 3000 entries.”

Runners have until Monday to sign up before the entry prices rise. All finishers receive a technical t-shirt and medal – with food stalls, live music and expo for all.
