WESTLIFE star Shane Filan is coming to Warrington as part of his solo tour.

The former lead singer of the multi award-winning Irish boy band will perform at the Parr Hall on November 9.

Shane sold more than 45 million records with Westlife but in June 2012 after 14 UK number one singles, 12 albums and numerous tours, the quintet decided to call it a day.

For Shane, the future meant landing a deal with Universal and beginning work on his first solo album, You and Me, which was recorded in both the UK and US.

The 34-year-old’s debut album was released in November 2013 mixing pop, soul, country, folk and even a hint of traditional Irish music thrown in.

Shane, who regularly sold out Wembley Arena with Westlife, said: “I’m excited to see what the future will bring.

“I would love to keep touring because I have such a passion for it and I also want to keep on writing and recording music.

“It’s very different being out on my own but I’m really enjoying it. As long as I get to carry on doing what I love I’ve got no complaints.”

Tickets for Shane’s Warrington show are on sale now and cost £31.
