LEON Hayes has spoken for the first time since suffering his horrific injury, with the youngster saying he is determined it will be “just a bump in the road.”
The Warrington Wolves scrum-half was stretchered off during Saturday’s defeat at Salford Red Devils, with the club confirming he has suffered a fracture dislocation of his left ankle.
He faces a recovery time of approximately six months, meaning his season is likely over.
Hayes posted on his Instagram page to say he was “absolutely gutted” about what happened having made a sustained breakthrough into the first team, starting the past 10 games.
However, he insists he will use his time off the pitch productively to “find out more about himself.”
